**Job Description**

**Requirements**
You will have an HNC/SVQ Level 3 in a Science related subject or be a time-served crafts person.
**Responsibilities**
You will provide an efficient Science support service throughout the Children and Families Service, supporting Science teaching staff to deliver learning and teaching activities, ensuring the effective use of technical resources and designated staff whilst undertaking Science service functions. You will provide repair and maintenance of materials and equipment and ensure Health and Safety Regulations are adhered to.
**The Individual**
You will have Science knowledge gained in an education setting or busy work environment. You will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT. You will have a working knowledge of health and safety matters and have experience of analytical work/problem solving. Highly developed organisational skills and the ability to manage your own work with remote supervision are essential. You should be willing to work with pupils in a classroom setting and be prepared to undertake relevant training. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
