Temporary School Administrator – Maternity Cover
Location: Beautiful rural primary school on the outskirts of Penrith
Contract: Full time, Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Start Date: June 2026
End Date: April 2027
Pay: Depends upon experience
Hannett Hale Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well regarded rural primary school near Penrith is seeking a confident and organised School Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis to cover a maternity leave.
About the Role
This is a key front office position where you will support the smooth running of the school. You’ll be the first point of contact for parents, staff, and visitors, and will handle a wide range of administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing the school office and reception area
* Handling phone calls, emails, and parent enquiries
* Maintaining pupil records and supporting attendance processes
* Preparing letters, documents, and reports
* Supporting staff with general administrative tasks
* Liaising with external agencies and suppliers
* Using school systems (training provided if needed)
* Any other general admin duties required to support the school
About You
* Previous school admin experience is desirable but not essential
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Confident using IT systems and learning new software
* Warm, professional, and able to work in a busy environment
* Reliable and committed for the full duration of the contract
