Job Duties:
1. Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
2. Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students with Autism, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, and Severe Learning Difficulties
3. Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
4. Assess student progress and provide feedback
5. Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to support student development
Required Qualifications:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
7. Experience working with students with SEND
8. Knowledge of SEND codes of practise
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
Knowledge and Skills:
9. Understanding of different learning styles and ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
11. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
12. Strong organisational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
13. Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
14. Training in Makaton or other communication systems

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
