Programme Coordinator - Driver Programmes

About the Business:
The Salvation Army Driver Programmes have been operating in Christchurch since 2014 and the rural community since 2020. We deliver community driver licensing programmes that remove barriers of access, equity, and safety to gaining a practical licence. Our services support people who face challenges in obtaining their restricted or full licences, while working alongside a diversity of people across our community.
About the Role:
The Programme Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the successful delivery of our Driver Programmes in Christchurch. You will oversee day-to-day operations, manage programme logistics, recruit and support volunteer mentors, and ensure high-quality outcomes for participants. This role suits someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, confident with Excel and administration systems, and passionate about making a positive impact in the community.
What will your responsibilities be:
1. Coordinate programme delivery and logistics across Christchurch and surrounding areas.
2. Lead recruitment, screening, and onboarding of participants.
3. Recruit, induct, and support volunteer mentors.
4. Maintain accurate programme data and Excel-based tracking systems.
5. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (licence progression, mentor engagement).
6. Organise inductions, workshops, graduations, and other events.
7. Build strong relationships with community partners, referral agencies, and participants.
8. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture.

This role is permanent and hours worked will be 40 per week.
The starting hourly rate for this role will fall $31 and $35 (equivalent annual salary range: $64,000 - $72,000).
