The Humber Health Partnership brings together Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) and Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) and is looking for an HR Advisor to join our vibrant team.
We will recruit either Band 5 (37.5 hours) or Band 6 (30 hours), depending on skills, experience and suitability against the respective job descriptions.
You’ll play a central role within the HR Team supporting nearly 20,000 colleagues across our hospitals.
Whether you hold a CIPD Level 5 or equivalent HR experience, we’ll support your development. Successful candidates will be an Associate CIPD member.
You’ll join a collaborative HR Advisory team, with access to HR Managers, Business Partners and specialist functions, ensuring exposure to varied and interesting casework.
We offer flexible, hybrid working, with a base at Hull or Cottingham and some travel to Grimsby and Scunthorpe. Base location will be agreed at offer stage.
You will provide expert HR advice, manage employee relations caseloads, support workforce priorities and organisational change, and champion an inclusive workplace culture.
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and proactive HR professional, confident in HR processes and employment legislation, who thrives in a busy environment and takes a solution‑focused approach.
Main duties of the job
To provide a range of HR guidance and advice to staff and managers across the Care Group/Directorate, ensuring consistent application of employment law and best practice.
Lead the planning and processes to achieve and maintain the Group’s Key Workforce Performance Indicators (Attendance, Retention, Personal Development Reviews, and Mandatory Training) across all specialties.
Prioritise and manage a case load of employee relations issues and ensure policy compliance, consistency and the provision of advice to managers regarding all aspects of employment policy and procedure including post‑employment issues.
Contribute to the successful implementation of prioritised People Plan interventions and solutions and support organisational redesign and change interventions.
Establish and maintain a productive link between the HR Advisory Service, Care Group Business Partners and centralised HR functions (e.g. Recruitment, Medical Staffing).

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
* Educated to degree level in a Human Resources related field or intermediate level.
* Level 5 CIPD qualification with relevant experience or equivalent.
* Evidence of ongoing CPD.
* Associate CIPD member.
Knowledge, Training and Experience
* Operational HR experience covering a range of employee relation issues (capability, performance, sickness, absence, disciplinary, grievance, terms and conditions of service and organisational change).
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of employment law and employee relations processes.
* Proven ability to deliver on key HR issues such as improving performance against key performance indicators.
* Use of up‑to‑date knowledge of employment legislation and case law and its application.
* Experience of effectively working in partnership with Trade Unions.
* Experience in promoting equality, diversity and inclusion.
