Service: Customer Support Services / ICT Closing Date: Tuesday 1st July 2025 Argyll and Bute Council are looking to recruit a full-time Senior IT Engineer to join our IT Servers team based in Helensburgh or Lochgilphead. This is a hybrid post. Whilst much of this role can be carried out remotely, regular team working in person is a requirement of the post, with an expectation of weekly attendance in the Council’s Lochgilphead or Helensburgh offices. There will also be regular travel to other Council offices/schools to support the Council’s network. You will be an IT professional engaged in the design, installation and support of server infrastructure supporting a large organisation. The Council’s operating environment consists of physical and virtual Microsoft and Linux servers located over our two datacentres. The Council has implemented Microsoft 365 and has invested in the use of Teams for unified communications. The council is seeking an individual who can use their experience and knowledge to enhance a professional team that are engaged in supporting the council’s business.
