The Role M&E Quantity Surveyor As M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of mechanical and electrical building services projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Working closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers, and site teams, you will gain exposure to a wide range of projects while continuing to develop your commercial and technical expertise.
Projects include full mechanical and electrical building services installations such as HVAC systems, plantrooms, heating and chilled water systems, ventilation, pipework, electrical distribution, containment, and associated M&E services.
Key Responsibilities Commercial management of M&E building services projects Assisting with subcontractor procurement and package management Preparing and managing valuations, variations, and cost reporting Working closely with Project Managers and site teams Attending project meetings with clients and subcontractors Supporting the preparation and agreement of final accounts Contributing to the successful delivery of projects ranging from £2m to £10m Requirements Experience working as an M&E Quantity Surveyor within Building Services Alternatively, strong experience supporting live projects and stepping into a Quantity Surveyor role Good understanding of mechanical and electrical installations and associated services Commercial awareness including valuations, variations, and cost control Exposure to standard forms of contract (JCT / NEC beneficial) Strong communication and organisational skills Ambition to progress towards Senior Quantity Surveyor level Remuneration Package M&E Quantity Surveyor £50,000£68,000 Car Allowance or Company Vehicle Pension Private Healthcare 25 days holiday bank holidays Clear pathway for career progression This role would suit candidates currently working as: M&E Quantity Surveyor, Mechanical Quantity Surveyor, Electrical Quantity Surveyor, Building Services Quantity Surveyor, Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Assistant (M&E), or Junior Quantity Surveyor within M&E Building Services.
