Requirements
Must have:
- Some experience working on or supporting digital, software, or operational projects - Strong logical thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability - Confidence working with systems, processes, and structured information - Ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements - Comfortable working with external technology partners and internal stakeholders - Basic understanding of project management concepts - Experience in agriculture, food, logistics, or other regulated sectors (desirable) - Knowledge of workforce management systems (desirable) - Familiarity with APIs, data flows, or integration concepts (desirable) - Exposure to agile working practices (desirable) - Awareness of food safety or labour-compliance frameworks (desirable)
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external software developers - Support the management of software projects across operations, food safety, supply chain processes, and workforce management - Build and maintain project timelines, track milestones and help keep projects on schedule - Work with colleagues in operations, logistics, HR, and quality assurance to gather detailed system requirements - Translate business needs into clear specifications and workflows - Support testing activities and ensure development aligns with requirements - Prioritise enhancements, bugs, and new features based on business value and effort - Work on systems supporting worker onboarding, scheduling, compliance, and performance tracking - Monitor risks and support mitigation planning - Assist with system integrations, data flow understanding, and platform compatibility - Ensure solutions support regulatory, food safety, and labour-compliance standards

We are a dynamic company in the farm and agri-food business, seeking a proactive and technically minded Software Project Manager to help deliver digital systems. This role offers the chance to collaborate with a dedicated internal team and external software developers to enhance our operations. We offer a 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential for extension, and welcome applications for both full-time and part-time positions. Our preferred working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with some flexibility for the right candidate. Benefits include casual dress, company events, and on-site parking.
