£15 per hour
Working Times
Between Monday and Friday during Term Time (exact days and times to be confirmed at interview). Operational hours for the After School Club are 15:00 – 18:00.
Contract
Casual – 6 hours per week minimum as a 1:1 SEND support. You can work as a playworker on alternate days if desired – to be discussed in interview.
Parking
Parking is available onsite.
Responsibilities
* Support children within the club, providing individual SEND support.
* Facilitate sensory activities and games across all areas.
* Engage children through play and sports.
* Supervise children in a safe and welcoming environment.
* Create an inclusive and fun atmosphere wherever possible.
* Experience teaching or supporting PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) children.
* Manage confrontation and challenging behaviours.
* Maintain patience and respond to each child’s needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experienced and qualified in SEND – essential for this role.
* Experience supporting children with SEN is a must‑have.
* Must provide two references (one from most recent employer and one from a childcare setting, if applicable).
* Compliance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education policy.
* Exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
* DBS check will be conducted – please prepare the correct documentation.
