An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual within the Drug and Alcohol recovery Service. You will be based in the Drug and Alcohol Recovery Team in Nairn but have opportunities to work across the Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service providing and promoting care within a variety of settings. There may at times be a requirement to provide support to the Drug and Alcohol Recovery Team in Mid and East Ross. The post involves delivering harm reduction advice and delivering some psychological interventions in Motivational Interviewing, Core Skills and Relapse Prevention for which training will be offered. There will also be an expectation on the successful candidate to train to become a SMART (Self Management and Recovery Training) facilitator and deliver SMART both in an individual and group setting.
This post requires you to work as part of the wider multidisciplinary team with support from senior staff and the Team Lead. You should possess good interpersonal skills and be confident in the use of computers. Having a keen interest and positive approach to working within the Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service is essential. Excellent organisational skills and time management skills are essential for delivery of service along with a full driving licence and use of a car for work purposes.
