An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join our client’s successful finance team. This is a fully remote role, offering the chance to work within a supportive, close‑knit business that genuinely values its people.

Duties of an Accounts Assistant:
* Maintaining daily cashbooks and monitoring cash positions
* Reconciling bank accounts and resolving discrepancies promptly
* Processing supplier invoices and customer billing accurately
* Managing payment runs and supporting credit control activities
* Reviewing and processing employee expense claims in line with company policy
* Ensuring compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements
* Assisting with month‑end close activities, including journals and reconciliations
* Supporting audit preparation by providing schedules and documentation
* Preparing accurate financial reports for clients and external stakeholders
* Maintaining awareness of quality policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance
* Supporting colleagues as required, including holiday cover
* Handling and resolving finance‑related queries efficiently and professionally
What we would like from you:
* Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* Clear and professional communication skills
* Strong problem‑solving ability with a proactive approach
* Good understanding of financial policies, controls and regulatory requirements
