Band 6 Mammographer (Bank)
Department: Breast Screening
The role involves providing high‑quality diagnostic breast imaging across the static breast unit and mobile screening unit locations. Candidates must be HCPC registered radiographers with a UK regulated Level 7 postgraduate qualification in Mammography or an ENIC statement of compatibility.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform diagnostic mammography, including tomosynthesis, CESM and CESM biopsy for symptomatic and screening patients.
* Work flexibly across both the static breast unit and mobile screening unit sites.
* Use dedicated computer systems for image acquisition, reporting and record‑keeping.
* Collaborate, contribute and communicate with the multidisciplinary team, including assisting practitioners, supervising and mentoring as required.
* Maintain a high standard of patient care and image quality, ensuring all procedures comply with NHS and HCPC standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Band 6 HCPC registered radiographer.
* UK regulated Level 7 postgraduate qualification in Mammography or an ENIC statement of compatibility.
* Experience with tomosynthesis, CESM and CESM biopsy preferred.

Other Information
This role is part of the Breast Care Unit multidisciplinary team and supports both mobile screening and hospital‑based services within Milton Keynes University Hospital and the University of Buckingham partnership.
