We have a brilliant opportunity to join our fantastic Bath Team. We are the multi skilled hands-on practical support that helps our colleagues deliver services to our customers.
We work with customers who have supported living needs, this could be support around skills such as finances or helping them to access the community. You will workacross a mix of our properties and surrounding grounds. As our handy person, you’ll spend much of your time working across our three properties across Bath which are located centrally and outside the centre.
What you'll do
1. Perform minor or emergency repairs, decorating and cleaning in properties and communal areas.
2. Handle tasks like hanging curtain poles, moving furniture, touching up paint, changing washers, unblocking sinks, mowing lawns and clearing grounds.
3. Carry out regular fire safety checks.
4. Work with colleagues, contractors and customers.
5. Liaise with Customer Service Centre and contractors to report and follow up on repairs outside your remit.

You have
6. A team player with a can-do attitude and enthusiasm.
7. General maintenance know-how, a bit of carpentry, basic plumbing and confidence with a paintbrush or broom
8. Comfortable working and communicating with people from all walks of life.
9. Ability to use technology to ensure safe and accurate record keeping.
10. To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!

The practical bits
11. You’ll work Monday to Friday (9am to 5pm). As this is a part time role, there is some flexibility in working hours dependent on ongoing maintenance needs of the service.
12. You'll be based at Bath and travel around the properties in this area.
13. Occasionally you'll head outside the patch for all hands-on deck situations.
14. You’ll need a Standard DBS check, we pay for it.
