About the role:
* Provide tailored support to students with complex and challenging behaviours, fostering their personal and academic growth in a nurturing environment
* Build strong, trusting relationships with students, using individualized communication techniques to meet their unique needs.
* Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create consistent, structured routines while remaining flexible to adapt to changing circumstances.
* Use resilience, persistence, and problem-solving skills to address daily challenges and support students well-being and progress.
* Play a key role in maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, ensuring every student feels valued and supported.
The ideal candidate must:
* Have the right to work within the UK
* DBS registered on the update system or willing to purchase one
* Have experience working with students who have complex and challenging behaviours
* Be comfortable and adaptable working in different environments
* Be able to support the teacher in and around the classroom
* Work with small groups of children
