About the role:
We are seeking a results-oriented Chief Financial and Administrative Officer (CFAO) to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of our organization across the world. You will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of finance, accounting, legal, and administrative functions, while driving strategic initiatives to optimize performance and support our mission-driven work.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance and accounting departments, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, financial reporting, and internal controls.
* Develop and manage comprehensive annual budgets for all global operations, ensuring adherence to budgetary targets and compliance with international financial reporting standards.
* Implement and manage effective cash flow management strategies to optimize liquidity and minimize financial risks.
* Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, tax returns, and other statutory filings for all legal entities.
* Analyze financial data and provide insightful reports and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.
Financial Strategy and Efficiency:
* Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to enhance financial performance and resource allocation.
* Evaluate and recommend strategic investments, partnerships, and funding opportunities.
* Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
Legal and Administrative Management:
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements across all operating countries (15+ legal entities).
* Oversee the management of legal documentation, contracts, and insurance policies.
* Provide guidance and support on internal policies and procedures.
Team Leadership and Development:
* Lead and motivate a team (5+) of finance and administrative professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
* Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a senior financial management role, preferably within a multinational organization.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement solutions to complex financial challenges.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Fluency in French and English is essential, with working knowledge of additional languages a plus.
* Strong understanding of international accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
* Experience working in a global environment and managing geographically dispersed teams.
