Senior PMO Analyst (Strategic Portfolio) Blantyre Salary starting from £53,280 per annum plus excellent benefits Flexible Hybrid Working Closing Date: Help us create a better future, quicker SP Energy Networks (SPEN) are working to achieve 2030 transmission network targets set by the Scottish and UK Government. SPEN will invest over £5bn in transmission projects across our transmission network in central and southern Scotland by 2030. As part of this, SPT Strategic Projects will be delivering a £2.4b portfolio of new overhead lines and new and upgraded substations, including design, engineering, construction and electrical works. This is an exciting opportunity for you to be at the forefront of innovative engineering! You will be pathing the way to NetZero using new technologies to develop and deliver engineering solutions for transmission networks (132kV and above) for the ever-evolving energy landscape. As a vital part of SPEN, you will be exposed to a wide range of new and emerging responsibilities, and at a pivotal time as ScottishPower leads the fight against climate change and strives to deliver our ambitious growth and investment plans. You can expect to be working with and learning from a broad range of stakeholders from across SPEN, the Iberdrola Group and relevant external bodies. What you’ll be doing The Senior PMO Analyst is a key member of the SPT Strategic Portfolio PMO team, supporting the Strategic Portfolio’s governance framework and associated reporting dashboards. This role is responsible for providing insightful analysis, supporting performance monitoring, and delivering accurate management information. The postholder will: Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Delivery and Development teams, Engineering, Commercial, and other stakeholders to gather accurate data, validate project progress, and maintain consistency in reporting. Prepare and deliver high-quality PowerBI reports and dashboards to use in governance forums, providing clear insights into project actions, progress, costs, and risks. Develop and build of PowerBI dashboards using multiple data sources from source systems, including transformation of complex data sets to drive relevant insights for project teams. Maintain the PMO SharePoint site with latest documentation to support project teams, including knowledge management, training materials and other resources. Support governance meetings by capturing and tracking actions, decisions and risks. Support the PMO team in achieving and maintaining high standards of data quality across the portfolio. Analyse and interpret project and portfolio data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement, contributing to enhanced reporting processes and decision-making. Assist in tracking set performance KPIs across the projects. Facilitate planning sessions and workshops to support the development and structuring of projects and programmes of work. Support coordination and stakeholder engagement across the portfolio, helping to manage overlaps, dependencies, and risks. Support compliance with established project governance processes, supporting continuous improvement of tools, templates, and reporting standards. Produce ad-hoc reports and analysis for consumption by PMO capability leads. Contribute to the development of PMO maturity by supporting the rollout of best practices, guidance, training materials, and onboarding for new PMO team members or project stakeholders. What you’ll bring Experience of working in a multi-project environment with time-constrained deadlines. Ability to quickly adjust to changing priorities and requirements in a dynamic environment. Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and ensure alignment across teams to maintain accurate data and consistent reporting. Familiar with governance processes, standard PMO tools, templates, and reporting standards. Ability to support high standards of data quality, identify inconsistencies, and ensure accuracy and high-quality reporting. Experience coordinating governance meetings, documenting actions and outcomes, and producing ad-hoc reports for leadership. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information to stakeholders at all levels. Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc) and Power BI. Excellent analytical skills. Well-developed planning and organisational skills with strong attention to detail. To be successful, you will have to demonstrate (as a minimum): Proven experience in developing PowerBI dashboards and management reports. Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information to stakeholders at all levels. Experience developing PowerApps tools to facilitate project level reporting.
