As a Chief Officer of the Trust Board with accountability for delivering the Trust Strategy.
Functional leadership responsibility for: clinical quality (in conjunction with the Chief Nursing Officer); clinical effectiveness and outcomes; medical leadership and education; pharmacy; research and innovation; Mental Health Act compliance.

The aim of this role is to be an effective Chief Officer; the responsibilities of which are laid out in the corporate responsibilities section. Chief Officers are expected to ensure effective leadership, professionalism, rigor and challenge on all aspects of Trust business.
