Shift Engineer - London
Position: Shift Engineer (Electrical bias)
Location: City of London
Salary: 52,000
Shift Engineer Responsibilities:
* Perform reactive and planned maintenance on electrical systems, including lighting, power, UPS, and control panels
* Diagnose and resolve electrical faults quickly and safely
* Support minor installations and upgrades; coordinate with contractors as needed
* Conduct routine inspections and compliance tests
Skills/Experience required:
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation, Maintenance, or Engineering
* Solid experience in electrical maintenance within commercial or critical environments
* Comfortable working shifts (days/nights) and handling urgent or high-impact issues
* Strong knowledge of permit systems, health & safety regulations, and safe work practices
* Capable of working independently or as part of a shift team under pressure
