A multinational company is looking to hire a Power Electronics Controls Engineer to join their team in Birmingham. The role involves working on micro-grid and PV-based power converter control systems and control algorithms.
Responsibilities of the role
In addition to developing control algorithms for power electronics, your duties will include:
1. Embedded software development, including communication stacks and RTOS
2. Grid-tied inverters
3. Developing PCBs and custom tools
4. Designing and evaluating prototypes
5. Performance validation
To be considered for this Power Electronics Controls Engineer position, candidates should have a proven background in:
* Power Converters
* Control Architectures
* System simulation and algorithms using MATLAB and Simulink
* Lab validation and measurement skills
