Salary: Scale 4, Points 7 to 11 (£26,403 - £28,142 FTE)
Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks a year
Working pattern: Working pattern in conjunction with other site roles to cover site opening hours, suggested; 12pm to 8pm Monday to Thursday, 12pm to 7.30pm Friday, including 30 min unpaid break.

We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and skilled Site Office to support the effective day-to-day operation of Stour Valley Community School and Clare Community Primary School. This is a key role ensuring our sites are safe, secure, well-maintained, and welcoming for pupils, staff, and the wider community.
Main Responsibilities
* Ensure the daily opening, closing, and security of both school sites
* Act as a keyholder and first point of contact for emergency call-outs
* Support site security, alarms, and emergency procedures
* Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across both sites
* Monitor contractors, cleaning provision, and grounds maintenance
* Support health & safety compliance, including fire safety, COSHH, asbestos, and legionella checks
* Maintain records using Property Compliance Software
* Support ordering, stock control, and asset management
* Provide excellent service to community users and external lettings
* The role includes occasional out-of-hours and weekend call-outs for emergencies or essential works.
Person Specification
* GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
* Strong practical and DIY skills with the ability to carry out routine maintenance
* Good understanding of health & safety requirements
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Flexibility, reliability, and a calm approach under pressure
* Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality
* Experience in a school or similar environment
* Trade skills (e.g. electrical, plumbing, carpentry, heating)
* MIDAS training / D1 licence
Knowledge of PAT testing and building systems
