Applications are invited for a full time Consultant Radiologist with an interest in Musculoskeletal Imaging (MSK). The Radiology on-call service is provided in-house by first on-call SpRs with secondary support from Radiologists.

This post is based at the Royal Gwent Hospital, but may include sessions at other Health Board sites.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will join the Consultant Radiologist Team and will provide MSK expertise and support Multi Disciplinary Teams.
Professional supervision and management of junior medical staff. If appropriate the post holder will be named in the contracts of junior staff as the person responsible for overseeing their training.
Requirement to participate in medical audit and in continuing medical education in ways which are acceptable to the ABUHB.
Any requirement agreed for the provision of cover for consultant colleagues’ periods of leave.
All qualified staff have a responsibility to supervise unqualified/more junior staff and students on a day-to-day basis to ensure that patients receive appropriate care and that any untoward action is addressed.
