Due to our continuing success and as we continue to expand as a company and within our Building Surveying team in Manchester; we are now on the lookout for a passionate and driven individual who is looking for their next opportunity as a Chartered Building Surveyor to join our team.As a Chartered Building Surveyor your role will include:
* Lead & develop detailed briefs in conjunction with the Client and senior colleagues
* Establish & maintain client relationships
* Support business development activities by senior colleagues
* Carry out site surveys (including measured surveys, condition surveys & defect analysis)
* Produce designs and specifications including preparation of tender documentation
* Administering building contracts (JCT and NEC)
* Undertake all aspects of professional surveying work (including condition surveys, specific defect analysis, party wall consultancy, dilapidations, insurance inspections and claims advice. Plus, Reinstatement Cost Assessment valuations)
* Liaise with clients, contractors & other consultants (internal and external)
* Assist the team leader with project finances, recruitment, mentoring and team leadership
Experience and Skills Required
* Relevant degree qualified – RICS approved.
* MRICS Chartered.
* Have experience of advising on commercial, healthcare or educational properties either in the public or private sector.
* Good AutoCAD and/or REVIT skills.
* Competent with NBS Chorus.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
The role will require you to be the key point of contact with our prestigious clients, therefore a high level of communication skills and commercial awareness are essential for being successful in this role.You will be of an analytical mind with a high level of intellect – combining excellent written and oral skills to produce considered and robust reports and recommendations.
