Overview We are currently seeking multiple Setting Out Engineers to support the delivery of major civil engineering works. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing project team delivering complex infrastructure including heavy civils, reinforced concrete structures, piling, earthworks and underground services. There are four immediate vacancies, with further positions expected as the project progresses. Role Responsibilities As a Setting Out Engineer, you will be responsible for: Accurate setting out of works using Leica survey equipment Establishing and maintaining control points and site benchmarks Producing and maintaining detailed site documentation Preparing and updating as-built records and drawings using CAD Raising technical queries (TQs) and identifying design discrepancies Working closely with site management, engineers and subcontractors Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and tolerances Supporting quality assurance processes and inspections Assisting with temporary works coordination where required Project Scope Engineers are required across several workstreams, including: Heavy Civils & Structures - reinforced concrete (RC), structural steel Piling Works - significant piling package (circa 1,000 piles) Earthworks Underground Services & Drainage - including works involving temporary works design and coordination Candidates may focus on their existing area of expertise, but there is also opportunity to gain exposure to different sections of the project for those keen to broaden their experience. Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer within civil engineering Competent using Leica survey equipment Strong understanding of reinforced concrete, steel structures, piling, earthworks or underground services Experience producing as-built drawings using CAD Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team Knowledge of QA processes and site documentation requirements Qualifications (Desirable) HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline CSCS Card (relevant level) SMSTS or SSSTS (advantageous but not essential) What's on Offer Opportunity to work on a major infrastructure scheme Long-term pipeline of work Exposure to complex structural, piling and services packages Supportive team environment with opportunities to develop across disciplines Competitive salary or day rate (dependent on experience)
