Senior Manager - Youth Justice Service A Local Authority in the Suffolk area are actively seeking a Senior Manager to work within the Youth Justice Service. 5 Month Agency Contract | Location: Suffolk | Rate: £39 - £43 per hour | Hybrid working: Countywide role with bases at our offices in Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich and Lowestoft. However, we are very happy to consider all hybrid options, and all locations of candidates across the country. Key Responsibilities: The Suffolk Youth Justice Service (SYJS) works with children, young people who are in, or on the edge of the Youth Justice System. The service also works with parents and carers and the victims of youth crime. SYJS is a multi-agency partnership hosted by Suffolk County Council. The aim is to prevent offending by children and young people and protect the public from the harm caused by their offending. At the same time the service works to ensure the safety and well-being of these children and young people and to enhance their life aspirations and opportunities.Role Expectations; To deputise for The Suffolk Youth Justice Service as and when required. To contribute to providing leadership and direction for the Suffolk Youth Justice Service. To ensure that SYJS service delivery is in line with legislation, standards, policy, practice guidance and best practice. To assist the Head of Service with the creation of an annual Youth Justice Plan in collaboration with the Management Board and ensure that it reflect partnership priorities for the Youth Justice System in Suffolk and the Suffolk Youth Justice Service (SYJS) and ensuring the successful delivery of the aims and objectives set out in the plan. To contribute to activities which aim to secure external funding from other sources to support service delivery. To support the Head of Service to enable the SYJ Management Board to discharge their statutory functions under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 through: Advising on compliance with quality standards relevant to the service. Reporting and advising on all aspects of SYJS service delivery.What you'll need: Youth Justice Service Management within a Local Authority.
