A specialist independent SEN school in the Stoke-on-Trent area is looking to appoint a compassionate, skilled SEN Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. The school supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, including autism, social, emotional and mental health needs, communication difficulties and learning disabilities. They are seeking a teacher who is patient, resilient and genuinely committed to helping pupils thrive both academically and personally.
The role involves planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of small groups of students. You will be working closely with support staff, therapists and senior leaders to ensure pupils receive a consistent, structured and nurturing learning experience. Strong communication skills, a calm approach and the ability to build trusting relationships with pupils are essential.
Key responsibilities include:
