About This Role
We are seeking an experienced Tax professional at Senior Manager level to join our growing ICI practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UK R&D tax incentives and a proven ability to advise across diverse industries. What Your Day Will Look Like
• Lead & Deliver: Manage a portfolio of R&D clients, oversee projects, and prepare claims for HMRC submission.
• Engage & Advise: Build strong client relationships, liaise with HMRC, and provide tax technical guidance on R&D.
• Develop Talent: Supervise junior team members, keep senior stakeholders updated, and foster a collaborative culture.
• Drive Growth: Spot new opportunities, contribute to pitches, and play a key role in expanding our ICI practice.
This role is for you If
• Must Possess an ACA/CA/ACCA/ATT/CTA (or international equivalent) or Tax Inspector with full technical training.
• Strong expertise in UK R&D tax incentives, including claim preparation and submission.
• Proven project management skills, able to handle multiple live projects and workloads effectively.
• Excellent communication and writing skills, engaging stakeholders and producing clear reports and advice notes.
• Leadership ability to coach, delegate, and develop junior team members within the ICI practice.
• Analytical mindset with numerical skills; knowledge of related tax areas (Patent Box, corporate tax) desirable.
