My client, a leading chartered accountancy practice based in North Leeds are looking for a Tax Semi Senior to join their ever-growing team.

Main Duties For Tax Semi Senior
* Dealing with the reporting of Capital Gains per the HMRC property reporting requirements.
* Taking ownership of the tax return portfolio - chasing the relevant internal colleagues and clients to ensure missing information is obtained and all returns in portfolio are submitted to HMRC by the filing deadline.
* Using technical tax knowledge to identify issues for review stage
* Providing support and training on tax data entry to Tax Assistants
* Meeting with clients who drop off tax records into the office
* Completing electronic submission of returns to HMRC
* Agreeing HMRC correspondence including statements of account, coding notices and repayment notices to tax software
* Liaising with HMRC and clients in respect of discrepancies between software and HMRC correspondence
* Following internal processes to ensure checklists and work tracking software is kept up to date
* Completing any other general administrative duties in the tax team, as and when required
* Billing own allocation of clients once annual compliance work is completed. Liaising with other staff to ensure one off work is billed in a timely manner.
* Assisting Tax manager and partner with ad hoc advice work including computations and drafting of letters and reports where required.
Skills & Qualities
* Minimum of 2 years of previous experience within a similar role
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Strong team player
* Polite and professional
* Able to work under pressure, to deadlines.
* Able to prioritise and multi task
