Finance Assistant – 6-Month Fixed Term Contract Location: Colchester Salary: 26k plus bonus at end of contract Casanovas Recruitment Solutions is proud to partner with a fast-growing and dynamic business in the Colchester area, currently seeking a Finance Assistant to join their vibrant team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. What you’ll be doing: * Accurately post customer receipts from the daily bank account file and reconcile them to outstanding invoices. * Investigate and resolve unreconciled receipts promptly. * Follow up on incomplete or missing remittance advices for Local Authority/NHS Trust receipts. * Prepare remittance advices for posting and reconciliation. * Reallocate historic allocation issues to support final statement preparation and resolve queries. * Post and reconcile cheques and credit card receipts. * Act as the primary contact for internal allocation queries. * Manage and action the Remittances email inbox efficiently. What we’re looking for: * Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. * Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. * Previous experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or Reconciliation is highly desirable. * Ability to complete complex reconciliations and identify solutions. * Great communication skills and a proactive approach.
