Job Description: Overview MEM Recruitment are seeking a skilled Level 2 or 3 Vehicle Technician to join our clients dynamic team in Wellingborough. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge, prior experience as a vehicle technician and a passion for automotive repair and maintenance. As a Vehicle Technician, you will be a key member of the aftersales team; servicing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles to the highest standard. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and malfunctions. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake checks. Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and recommend appropriate repairs. Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools. Maintain accurate records of all work performed on vehicles. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the workshop environment. Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction. Work Monday to Friday, 08:00am-17:00pm with 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks. You will also be required to work a Saturday 08:00am-12:00pm on a rota basis 1:2 or 1:4. Requirements Proven experience as a vehicle technician. Formal Qualification in the Automotive Industry-NVQ Level 2 or equivalent. Have your own set of tools Full UK Drivers License Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. MOT licence is preferred, however if necessary MOT training will be provided within 3 months of recruiting.
