The Oral Health Directorate are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Dental Therapist to join our Paediatric Dentistry team at Glasgow Dental Hospital & School & Royal Hospital for Children. The successful applicant will support the provision of high quality dental care for children and young people, providing a wide range of clinical dental therapy and preventative oral health care, including extended duties appropriate to a registered dental therapist. The department provides a wide range of specialist services, including cleft multidisciplinary care at Royal Hospital For Children which our Dental Therapist will be expected to support. The successful candidate should be caring, dedicated and self-motivated with excellent communication and clinical skills. Applicants should have obtained a recognised qualification in Dental Hygiene Therapy. A qualification in inhalation sedation is desirable, but not essential. You should be a GDC registrant and have knowledge of the GDC Scope of Practice for Dental Therapists in addition to a working familiarity with the GDC Standards for the Dental Team.
