STEM Graduate – Junior Data Analyst Role Location: West Malling, Kent I am working with a well-established financial services company in West Malling who are looking for a bright, analytical graduate to join their friendly and supportive data team. What the role involves: You will help respond to internal data requests, using SQL and Excel to extract and analyse information, and then presenting your findings in a clear, structured way. You will be encouraged to develop your skills – including learning Python – and will be supported by a team that includes people from a range of backgrounds (including the Head of Department, who has a Biology degree). Key responsibilities: Writing SQL queries to retrieve data Organising and analysing data in Excel (e.g. pivot tables, formulas) Producing reports and insights for internal teams Validating data to ensure accuracy and consistency Learning Python to support automation and streamline processes Presenting findings clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues What they are looking for: A recent graduate with a STEM degree (e.g. Maths, Biology, Physics, Engineering, Economics) Some experience working with data (e.g. through university projects or self-learning) Strong Excel skills and a logical approach to problem solving Basic understanding of SQL, or a willingness to learn An interest in building skills in Python and reporting tools Strong attention to detail and clear communication This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that values curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
