Position: Trainee Temporary Traffic Management CAD Designer.
Location: State-of-the-art office in Birmingham with onsite amenities including a gym, nursery, café, and coffee shop.
Salary: Highly competitive, dependant on experience.
Hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm.

About Us
We provide Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) designs for urban & rural roads, and dual carriageways & motorways anywhere in the UK using the latest industry software. In addition, we offer Vehicle Swept Path Analysis, consultancy, RRRAP assessments, BIM/3D design, and traffic modelling.
About the Role Of Trainee CAD Designer
As a trainee temporary traffic management designer, you will use an array of the latest software available in the industry, from 2D street works to 3D BIM designs on high-speed dual carriageways.
Duties
* Develop an understanding of the sector through observation and working closely with your mentor.
* Produce and design scaled and schematic temporary traffic management drawings.
* Assist with design modifications to facilitate operations.
* Ensure all temporary traffic management drawings are in accordance with guidelines.
* Maintain all paperwork up to date.
* Maintain CAD models, drawings and associated files.
* Work with Lead Designers to improve skills in BricsCAD and consistently achieve a high standard of final presentation of temporary traffic management drawings.
* Receive continual health & safety and Lantra‑approved training to develop and keep up‑to‑date knowledge in temporary traffic management.

Essential Attributes For a Trainee CAD Designer
* Driving licence or undertaking driving lessons – road knowledge/awareness is paramount, and you will be required to travel.
* Excellent IT skills.
* Excellent level of written and spoken English.
* Interest in AutoCAD or similar packages.
* Excellent communication skills in dealing with clients and colleagues.
* High level of accuracy.
* Analytical skills.
* Creative flair.
* Able to generate ideas and put them into practice.
