They have a well-established reputation and are experts in their industry. An opportunity has arisen for a Quality Inspector to join their team on a permanent contract. The Quality Inspector will support the Quality department on goods inward and final product inspection to ensure quality requirements are fulfilled. The Quality Inspector will ensure all inspection work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements. The role will come with a unique opportunity to advance into the world of NDT as with time, if required, the organisation in question will upskill you in this area providing training and helping you gain the relevant certificationa along the way THE ROLE Organising/undertaking the inspection of goods in and populating reports in line with received condition Undertaking inspection of product, generating quality reports and approving release to despatch Promoting and deploying a policy of continuous improvement throughout the organisation Issuing internal non-conformance reports where necessary Ensuring all measuring and test equipment are operational and ensuring the required maintenance is carried out Learning to perform NDT inspections on products when required Calibrating plant measuring and test equipment, both internally and by external vendor Undertaking 1st off inspections when required Participating in department 5S program Fitting duties as required – training will be provided Any other ad-hoc THE PERSON Qualified with appropriate engineering qualifications Competent with the use of external and internal micrometer’s is essential Previous experience in Non-Destructive Testing; ultrasonic and dye penetrant examinations is preferred.
