Overview
Equans is looking for a Management Accountant to join the team at Addenbrooke's Treatment Centre in Cambridge on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. The role offers hybrid working with on-site 3 days per week. A competitive salary and benefits package is on offer.
Responsibilities
* Take responsibility for producing timely, accurate and compliant monthly financial results (P&L and balance sheet) for each service line within scope. Produce forecasting exercises (budgets and re-forecasts). Monitor, track and analyse operational expenses and recommend efficiencies where possible.
* Present meaningful trends and variance analysis to enable customers to make informed decisions. Provide internal and statutory audit justifications as required.
* Produce key financial indicators and analyse them to advise site management on optimising the Company’s position (e.g. supplier payments, debtor days).
* Prepare the monthly core service fee invoices and other invoices based on contractual information and operational records for non-core activity.
* Monitor and chase debt with clients to optimise cashflow in line with contractual arrangements.
* Evaluate and challenge—using appropriate data and analytics—the budgeting and operations of each site and service line: resource levels, performance versus output specifications and benchmarks.
* Support general managers to minimise performance penalties; analyse root causes and recommendations.
* Liaise with relevant staff to improve paper and cash flow, making suggestions where appropriate.
* Assist with analysing and auditing contractual compliance and risks to provide sound support to site management and ensure entitlement under contractual arrangements.
* Provide support to managers and business leaders when pricing contractual variations and tendering for new opportunities (pricing, modelling, etc.).
* Work with the Operational team to review the monthly Performance Management System to minimise risk to the business.
* Support the ongoing optimisation of our management systems and reporting suite to provide meaningful financial information to customers in the most effective way.
* Identify and generate improvement areas for implementation.
Qualifications
* Working towards or part-qualified in CIMA, ACA or ACCA.
* Ability to analyse complex data.
* DBS Standard check – the ability to pass is essential.
