Full-time: 35 hours per week

Fixed-term: until 28th February 2027

The Opportunity:

Conduct original research on neuronal networks underlying the processing of natural visual stimuli, using in vivo large-scale two-photon calcium imaging and virtual reality in awake behaving mice.

Analyse in vivo large-scale two-photon calcium imaging data sets combined with behavioural data (pupil diameter, speed, motor movements).

Your skills and attributes for success:

1. PhD in Neuroscience is required with experience in in vivo large-scale two-photon calcium imaging.
2. Programming skills, Matlab, (and/or Python.
3. Ability to communicate complex information clearly, orally and in writing.
4. Experience in electrophysiological recordings.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

The salary for this post is Grade UE07 £41,064 to £48,822 per annum, pro-rata if part-time.
