We are seeking a Senior Construction Planner to join our team in London, supporting Arup design teams from various regions. The role covers a wide range of infrastructure and building projects, from feasibility studies to construction completion.
Is this role right for you?
The Senior Construction Planner will produce construction programmes using software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. Responsibilities include compiling construction phasing diagrams, time‑location charts, and other visual techniques to communicate project phasing and site logistics. They will also produce construction planning reports explaining programmes, phasing, risks, opportunities, and assumptions, and present to our clients and project teams.
Requirements
* Understanding of modern construction methods and constructability issues and logistics.
* Understanding of planning and scheduling approaches.
* Degree qualified in a related discipline.
* An interest in how the construction industry is evolving, especially where carbon footprint and environment is involved.
* An interest in using new technologies to improve communication of construction planning material e.g. 4D construction planning.
* The ability to develop relationships with other planners/schedulers within Arup, as well as designers and project managers, to promote, develop and support the firm's construction planning capability and services.
