Then, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Team About the Role: We are looking for friendly, reliable and customer‑focused people to join Wakefield Council’s Museums & Castles team on a casual basis. As a Casual Visitor Experience Assistant with Catering Responsibilities, you will help us deliver a warm, welcoming and enjoyable experience for visitors, supporting café and retail services at Pontefract Castle, alongside wider visitor activity across our museum and castle sites. Key Responsibilities: Duties include welcoming visitors, serving café customers, providing general visitor information, and assisting with workshops and events. You will also support essential health and safety tasks, cleaning duties, basic financial procedures and stock management to help keep our venues safe, clean and well‑run. What will be expected from me? This role is ideal for people who enjoy working with the public and can work confidently in a busy, public‑facing environment. Food Hygiene training will be provided, and full guidance will be given to help you succeed in the role. What can I expect?
