An exciting opportunity has arisen within Swansea Bay UHB for a Band 6 Research Nurse to become part of the Research Delivery Team. The post holder will be required to work across all hospital sites within health board.
The post holder will contribute to the assessment and management of the care pathways for patients participating in clinical trials. This will include the recruitment, education, monitoring of trial patients, the collection and documentation of accurate data and collection and preparation of biological samples.
We are looking to recruit a qualified nurse with experience of the clinical trials process, along with good verbal and written communication as well as good attention to detail.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and well organised individual to work within the Research Delivery Team at Morriston Hospital Swansea Bay UHB.
The post holder will be required to support the co-ordination of an agreed portfolio of research studies across Swansea Bay UHB.
The successful candidate will:
- Identify and recruit patients for research studies
- Provide information and support for those involved in research studies
- Maintain research databases in accordance with the relevant research protocols
- Produce high quality data collection
- Conduct follow-up visits according to study protocols
- Applicants would be expected to work across all sites within SBUHB

1. Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
Knowledge
