About the Role:
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging science lessons across the curriculum, adapting your teaching style to support diverse learners and ensuring excellent academic progress. Whether your specialism is Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, this role welcomes both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality, inspiring lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
* Plan schemes of work that promote scientific inquiry and student engagement.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear feedback.
* Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
* Support pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEND or EAL.
* Participate in departmental planning meetings and CPD activities.
Science Teacher requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification in Science.
* Experience teaching Science, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
* A proven track record of raising student attainment and delivering outstanding lessons.
* Subject specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics is desirable, but a strong general Science background is essential.
* Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
* Ability to differentiate learning materials to cater to a range of abilities.
* Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
