Commercial Support Engineer
Camlin require a confident, capable, and commercially minded individual with an engineering background to join the Customer support team. The successful candidate can expect to join a highly motivated team of customer focused engineers who work at the forefront of electricity network system innovation.
The day-to-day role involves delivering customer training on devices and systems, both onsite and remotely, as well as providing technical support and adhering to contractual obligations. It also includes preparing field reports, assessing product performance, and maintaining effective communication, with a focus on safety.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
* Training Delivery: You'll be responsible for delivering training on devices and system processes, both in-person at customer locations and remotely via platforms like Teams and Zoom. This will involve working with multiple individuals in various environments, including classrooms, meeting rooms, and live on-site.
* Independent Delivery & SLAs: You'll autonomously deliver on contractual obligations outlined in Service Level Agreements (SLAs) under the guidance of a Field Support Manager and in alignment with Customer Account Directors.
* Travel & Engagement: Expect to travel within the UK, potentially including night stays, to support customer engagement and assigned depots and DNO locations • Reporting & Documentation: You'll be responsible for preparing field reports and documentation on a timely basis.
* Performance Assessment: You'll assess product and equipment performance based on field data and recommend modifications or improvements highlighted from customer interactions and own experiences.
* Technical Support: You'll provide technical support to customers and other service professionals as required. • Communication: Maintain clear and concise business communication, both written and oral.
* Health and Safety: Always adhere to health and safety guidelines.
* Training: Full training will be provided on the job.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate strong electronic and electrical knowledge and maintain high technical level of product knowledge. They must be team oriented, flexible and actively seek to share information and assist their peers.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
* Qualifications in Electrical/Electronic Engineering HNC/HND or equivalent.
* Minimum of 2 years previous experience in providing engineering field services/training or prior experience within an electrical utility or similar industry.
* Must possess a strong safety mind-set.
* Must have strong customer service skills and the ability to interact confidently with customers, conducting yourself with professionalism in front of, and while providing, training on equipment and products.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience in training delivery would be beneficial.
* Good computer skills including Microsoft Outlook / Excel / Word/PowerPoint/Microsoft Teams
* Full, clean UK driving license.
* Willingness to work flexible hours with multiple weeknights away
