Job Summary A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen in our beautiful little unique and natural nursery where we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the overall management of our facility, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a passion for early childhood education. The Deputy Manager will work closely with staff, children, and parents to foster a positive atmosphere that promotes learning and development.
Duties
* Assist the Manager in the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
* Provide leadership and support to staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
* Oversee the planning and implementation of educational programmes that meet the developmental needs of children.
* Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in care, adhering to safeguarding policies.
* Manage administrative tasks including record keeping, scheduling, and reporting as required.
* Support staff training and development initiatives to enhance team performance.
* Drive initiatives that promote a positive culture within the nursery setting.
Experience
* Previous experience in a management role within a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
* Strong background in early childhood education or related fields is preferred.
* Experience working with children, demonstrating an understanding of their developmental needs.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required for effective interaction with staff, parents, and children.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation purposes related to nursery activities.
