Multi‑Skilled Engineer - 12‑Hour Shifts (Permanent)
Location: Manufacturing / FMCG Environment
Hours: 12‑hour shifts (Rotating, Panama)
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Multi‑Skilled Engineer to join a fast‑moving production environment. You'll play a key role in maintaining, improving, and optimising plant, equipment, and services to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation across site. The role requires strong problem‑solving ability, electrical competency, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out day‑to‑day maintenance, repair and improvement of plant, assets and site services.
Use engineering systems and processes effectively to support production.
Communicate accurately and promptly with all stakeholders.
Ensure all work adheres to food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards.
Complete PPM tasks and support the development of maintenance best practices.
Diagnose and repair equipment faults quickly to minimise downtime.
Champion a strong safety culture and ensure a safe working environment.
Identify and implement permanent fixes to prevent recurring issues.
Maintain high GMP and quality standards across designated areas.
Participate in daily shift meetings and contribute to strong team communication.
Support budget awareness, stock control and accurate completion of shift documentation.
Ensure all buildings, plant and equipment are safe in design and operation.
Skills, Experience & Knowledge
Experience in a Multi‑Skilled Engineering role within FMCG or manufacturing (desirable).
Strong electrical knowledge and fault‑finding capability.
Understanding of manufacturing processes and ability to analyse and improve performance.
Able to communicate effectively at all levels with good commercial awareness.
Competent using CMMS systems, production equipment and general IT tools.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and balance reactive and planned work.
Recognised electrical qualification
