A welcoming mainstream primary school is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their team from Easter, covering a maternity leave.
This role involves leading a small, well-supported SEN provision within the school, working with a delightful class of 7 pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Speech and Language needs, and Autism.
The SEN Class

Small SEN room with 7 pupils

Pupils with MLD, Speech and Language needs, and Autism

Supported by 2 dedicated Teaching Assistants and 1 floating TA

The Role
*
Full class teacher responsibilities, including planning, teaching, assessment, and reporting
*
Delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
*
Creating a nurturing and structured learning environment
*
Working closely with support staff, SENCO, parents, and external professionals
*
Monitoring progress and implementing EHCP targets effectively
The Ideal Candidate
*
A qualified teacher (QTS) with experience or a strong interest in SEN
*
Confident supporting pupils with MLD, Speech and Language needs, and Autism
*
Patient, adaptable, and passionate about inclusive education
*
A strong team player with good communication and organisation skills

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is previous experience working in a school setting.
