My client is a highly regarded organisation within the housing and public services sector, known for delivering complex and high‑impact legal work. Their in‑house legal team provides pragmatic, commercially focused advice, and they are now seeking an experienced Housing Litigation Solicitor (£50‑£70 per hour) to join them on an exciting interim assignment. This role offers the opportunity to step into a well‑established team and make an immediate impact.

Job Title: Housing Litigation Solicitor (£50‑£70 per hour)
Rate: £55‑£70 per hour via umbrella or PAYE equivalent
Contract Type: 3‑6 month contract
Location: Worcester / Hybrid (flexible home & office)
Hours: 35 hours per week
What you’ll be doing
* Managing a varied caseload of housing management litigation matters, including possession claims, injunction applications, and housing conditions/disrepair claims.
* Providing clear, pragmatic advice to the business on a wide range of housing law matters.
* Supporting senior colleagues in the oversight and development of the in‑house Housing Litigation team.
* Ensuring legal services are delivered in a cost‑effective manner, minimising risk to the organisation.
* Drafting high‑quality statements of case and witness statements.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
* Acting as a trusted advisor and “go‑to” specialist for housing litigation queries.
What we’re looking for
* Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with at least 5 years’ PQE, or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.
* Strong working knowledge of housing law and civil procedure rules.
* Proven experience managing housing litigation matters, including fast‑track cases.
* Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills.
* Confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide clear and practical legal advice.
* A collaborative, proactive approach and the ability to hit the ground running in an interim role.
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
