Job Title: Warehouse Operative Location: Maidstone Basic Salary: £12.21 to £22.47 per hour Employment Type: Temporary Ongoing Job Description : We are recruiting reliable Warehouse Operatives for early-morning shifts at a busy parcel distribution centre in Maidstone. This is a fast-paced role suitable for candidates who are physically fit, motivated, and able to work as part of a large team processing parcels for next-day deliveries. Shift Pattern Start Times: 05:00 AM (main induction start used for the first 12 weeks) 01:30 AM (for experienced workers approved after initial period) Finish Times: Typically between 08:3009:30 AM Operation: Monday to Sunday (5 shifts per week typical) Average Shift Duration: 68 hours Start Date: Immediate upon assessment and induction Key Responsibilities : Sorting parcels accurately by route and area Loading and unloading cages, vans, and HGV trailers Working quickly and safely in a high-volume warehouse Using handheld scanners (training provided) Following health & safety procedures at all times Maintaining clean work areas and supporting the wider warehouse team Lifting parcels up to 2025kg Requirements: Previous warehouse experience preferred but not essential Physically fit and comfortable bending, lifting, and standing for long periods Reliable, punctual, and hardworking Good communication and ability to follow instructions Safety boots required Ability to commute for early starts (limited public transport before 05:00 AM) Induction & Onboarding Induction is conducted at 05:00 AM, including a short H&S briefing and a half-shift assessment New workers remain on 05:00 AM starts for 12 weeks until approved for earlier 01:30 AM shifts Students are welcome limited to 20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling Benefits: Supportive on-site team Pay Rates : First 12 Weeks: Monday to Friday Day £12.21 Monday to Friday Day Overtime £12.21 Monday to Friday Night £12.21 Monday to Friday Night Overtime £12.21 After 12 Weeks: Monday to Friday Day £12.29 Monday to Friday Day Overtime £18.90 Monday to Friday Night £15.01 Monday to Friday Night Overtime £22.47 How To Apply : If you meet the above requirements and are ready to take on this exciting opportunity, we want to hear from you!
