As part of the commercial team, you’ll act as the central point for all contractual matters within your portfolio. You’ll lead on commercial strategy, risk management, and stakeholder engagement across multiple complex contracts. From managing variations and negotiating sub-contracts to resolving disputes and enhancing profitability, your contribution will be essential to operational success.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading commercial and contractual functions across multiple PFI projects.
* Managing benchmarking, market testing, claims, and resolution of construction defects.
* Identifying and mitigating commercial risks while maximising opportunities.
* Supporting operational teams with training, audits, and implementation of best practices.
* Ensuring compliance with PFI output specifications and KPI frameworks.
* Producing clear commercial reports and position papers for senior stakeholders.
* Building strong relationships with internal teams, legal advisors, and external partners.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in commercial management, ideally within PFI or comparable sectors.
* In-depth understanding of PFI payment mechanisms and value testing processes.
* A strong track record of delivering commercial strategies that reduce risk and drive value.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
* A strategic thinker with a hands-on, collaborative approach.
