The Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced academic to lead the Department of Pharmacy Practice within the School of Pharmacy and Life Sciences. This role is ideal for a colleague passionate about developing the next generation of prescribing pharmacists and contributing to research in pharmacy practice.
You will lead the ongoing development and delivery of our professional programmes, including the MPharm and Pharmacist Independent Prescribing courses. Working collaboratively, you will ensure high quality teaching, innovative learning and assessment design, excellent student experience and outcomes, and the continued growth of research across the department. You will champion research informed teaching and support colleagues in enhancing academic excellence within the pharmacy subject area.
Your Skills and Attributes for Success
* GPhC registered pharmacist with experience in research development
* Ideally holding a postgraduate clinical pharmacy qualification and/or a GPhC accredited independent prescribing qualification (or near completion)
* Strong, collegiate leadership style with the ability to build and motivate a high performing team
* Commitment to fairness, inclusivity, equality and diversity
* Enthusiasm, resilience, flexibility, and adaptability
