Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant in SEN Unit


Location:

England, Greater London, Merton


Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

£88 - £110 Per day

Job Description:


Job Duties:

* Supporting students with special educational needs in a SEN unit
* Assisting with classroom activities and lesson preparations
* Providing one-on-one support to students as needed
* Helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
* Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to implement individualised education plans


Required Qualifications:

* Previous experience working with children or individuals with special needs
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student development


Education:

Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths


Experience:

Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred


Knowledge and Skills:

* Understanding of special educational needs and different learning styles
* Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
* Basic knowledge of relevant policies and procedures


Preferred Qualifications:

* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
* Additional training in special educational needs support

* Regular collaboration with teachers, parents, and external professionals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
