We are excited to offer one permanent Justice Worker position within the Cowdenbeath Justice Team for 18 hours per week. Our team supports men involved in offending behaviour who are subject to statutory orders imposed by the Court. We are committed to building on trauma-informed practice and developing programs and opportunities for men within their communities and to promote desistence from further offending behaviour.
Key responsibilities include:
Case Management:
1. Manage Community Payback Orders with unpaid work requirements and Fiscal Work Orders for male service users.
2. Oversee Orders for service users with less intensive support needs, with guidance from a Social Worker or Senior Practitioner when required.
Reporting:
3. Prepare reports for the Courts and Procurator Fiscal on service users' engagement and progress with their Orders.
4. Assess risks and provide professional assessments for partner agencies, including child and adult protection concerns.
Program Development:
5. Participate in the development of projects and programs to meet the needs of service users and promote desistance from further offending.
Record Keeping:
6. Ensure accurate and timely case recording.
Collaboration:
7. Work with partner agencies to address and manage risks associated with service users.
8. Engage in creating and developing opportunities for service users based on identified needs.
The Person
9. Relevant experience in Social Work or a related field.
10. Strong report writing and case management skills.
11. Ability to assess and manage risks effectively.
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
13. Commitment to trauma-informed practice and community-based support.
