We are currently seeking an experienced Orthotist who is looking for anopportunity to be develop their career and be a part of our large and dynamicteam in Belfast.
The role holder assessespatients in a variety of different clinics, occasionally in conjunction withPhysiotherapists, NHS Doctors and other members of the interdisciplinary teamas appropriate, they then provide orthotic treatment based on best practice.
To advance the delivery ofthe Opcare orthotic service by embracing evidence-based medicine and the resultof Clinical audit in line with the requirements of clinical governance.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
Some of the key responsibilities the role holder will haveresponsibility for:
Independent and autonomous responsibility forcaseload of patients
Ensure the delivery of high-quality care for allpatients and the smooth running of the service
Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs)
Inputting on initiatives within the centre servicedevelopment plan
The role will be instrumental in helping to develop and implementservice improvements for the betterment of patients in Belfast.
The successful candidate will join anenthusiastic and busy team, and be supported with local, regional, and nationaltraining to develop their clinical skills to support the service. We aim todeliver a first class service for users whilst applying the most advanced andexciting clinical and technical solutions available to patients.
Qualifications: Either:
Certified Orthotist
HND Orthotics
BSc Orthotics/Prosthetics
Must also be fully HCPC Registered.
